CCN1R Training and Assessment + 3 Appliances

This course is for experienced gas installers that are required to keep their ACS qualifications current. CCN1 re-assessment and associated appliances is required every five years to maintain Gas Safe Registration. The refresher appliances to choose from in this package are:

Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters (CENWAT)
Cookers (CKR)
Gas Fires (HTR)
Domestic Air Handling (DAH)
Gas Meters (MET1)

Assessments can be post-dated up to 6 months ahead. This will avoid losing time from existing certificates (MOT style)

CCN1R Assessment only + 3 Appliances

This package is available for delegates who wish to undertake CCN1R Assessment only (without training) and up to 3 appliances.  The refresher appliances to choose from in this package are:

Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters (CENWAT)
Cookers
Gas Fires (HTR)
Domestic Air Handling (DAH)
Gas Meters (MET1)

Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG)

Con LPG1PD Initial and Refresher Training and Assessment

This LPG course is for experienced gas engineers who hold valid CCN1 or COCN1 qualifications. The training and assessment covers areas of gas safety relative to the installation and use of LPG supplied from bottle and bulk storage and wold certificate you to work on LPG in permanent dwellings (PD)

In addition to the above you can undertake assessments in the following alongside Con LPG1PD at an additional cost:

Residential Park Homes (RPH)
Leisure Accommodation Vehicles (LAV)

ConLPG PD Refresher Assessment only

This is available for delegates who wish to undertake ConLPG PD refresher assessment only. They must have existing ConLPG PD qualification to qualify for this. In addition to the above you can undertake assessment in the following alongside ConLPG1PD at an additional cost:

Unvented Hot Water Systems Training and Assessment

This is a one day course, including assessment for those installing unvented hot water systems to comply with Building Regulations.  Successful completion of this course is through assessment of a delegate’s competence in this specialised work area.  Gas Safe or OFTEC registration or NVQ Level 2 qualifications are required to undertake this course and assessment.

Water Regulations Training and Assessment

The Water Fittings Regulations and Scottish Water Byelaws are designed to prevent misuse, waste, undue consumption or erroneous measurement of water and crucially to prevent contamination of drinking water.  They are a national requirement for the design, installation, operation and maintenance of plumbing systems, water fittings and water-using appliances.  They replaced the former local Water Supply Byelaws which was administered by each water supplier for similar purposes for many years.

The 1 day Water Regulations course and assessment covers the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 (England and Wales) and meets requirements of the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS).  This course and assessment are aimed at anyone wishing to understand and implement the Water Regulations competently and in particular those wishing to become approved plumbers / contractors.

A minimum of 2 years’ industry experience of installation of domestic heating and hot water systems currently un-certificated skills equivalent NVQ/SNVQ Level 3 is required to undertake this course and assessment.

Legionella Awareness Training and Assessment

This 1 day course and assessment is designed for experienced plumbing and heating operatives and is suitable for all those who are responsible for designing, installing and maintaining hot and cold water services. It meets the requirements of the revised Approved Code of Practice and Guidance: Legionnaire’s disease: The control of Legionella bacteria in water systems 4th Edition 2013 (ACOP L8) and the technical guidance HSG274 Part 2: The control of Legionella in hot and cold water systems.

The course contains theoretical training on current legislation and the process involved in carrying out a thorough Legionella risk assessment of hot and cold water services and aims to ensure operatives have the knowledge, skills and understanding to undertake the disinfection process competently and safely

Delegates must hold a Water Regulations Certificate to undertake this course and assessment.
